GDG DevFests are large scale
community-run events that can offer speaker sessions across Google
product areas, all-day hack-a-thons or both.
DevFest Kathmandu is inspired by and uniquely tailored to the needs
of our developer community.
We are planning to cover Android, Google App Engine, Google Drive,
Google Maps, GWT during devfest. Also, we are beginning "GDG Kathmandu -
Barcamp" from this devfest which will continue as separate event
afterwards.
GDG DevFest at its core are powered by a shared belief that when
developers come together to exchange ideas, amazing things can happen.
Many GDGs across the globe have been organizing DevFest. Our
effort is to participate in global devfest celebration and acknowledge
the theme behind DevFests - i.e - "Engage, Learn & Share with the
Google Developers Community".

Samrakchan Ghimire , Build your first Android App, Codelab/Training Session
Samrakchhan have been developing android application since his college
days (2010). Since than he have been working as an android application
developer. Lately have been engaged in social event by providing android
development training. What he thinks about mobile application
development is that we can develop Nepal as a hub of mobile application
development in Asia. For achieving it, we should increasingly provide
numbers of trainings in colleges. His friend Prayag will be facilitating participants. They have been member in GDG Kathmandu as well.
Anirudh Dewani , Speaker Session on Android, over HoA
Anirudh is a Developer Programs Engineer for Android and helps
developers build compelling apps for the Android platform. Before
joining Google, he worked as an architecture consultant, designer,
developer and performance engineer. Gaming consoles and Football matches
keep him busy when he is not working.
Suresh Ghimire & Pavitra Gautam , Robotics Association of Nepal
Suresh & Pavitra will present about how we can control electronics
devices / robots with our day to day handheld android phones. Suresh
& Pavitra both are active in GDG Kathmandu since the beginning.
Sudarshan Pant, Android App Development : Google Map and Location, Codelab
Sudarshan Pant is Software Engineer at Arihant Technologies. Having over
three years of experience in Android development, he has been working
intensively in android app development. He actively blogs at :
technoguff.com. On this session Sudarshan will talk about General
Introduction to Android Google API, Sample Application, Debugging and
Discussion. Sudarshan is active member at GDG Kathmandu and he's very
interested to work on the field of Android development in community
level.
Manoj Ghimire,Using Google Technologies for Product Development
Manoj Ghimire is Chief Application Architect at ImmuneSecurity. He is
Co-founder of nLocate. He holds expertise in Log Analytics and Big Data.
At times he enjoys diving into Python.
Chintan Shah, Google Drive - Enterprise / Developers perspective
Chintan Shah is co-organizer of GDG Bangalore. He is visiting Kathmandu
all the way from Bangalore just to present/participate in our DevFest.
He enjoys technology and hence working as evangelist. He works at
Mahindra Satyam Computer Services as Technology Evangelist. Before that
he worked at Nokia India.
