Nepal Telecom has announced
special festive offer for its subscribers on the occasion of Dashain,
Tihar and Chhath festivals effective from Monday.
The state-owned telecom is offering
50 percent discount on SMS within
its network and
10 percent discount on calls made from GSM postpaid and
prepaid mobiles.
NT used to offer festive schemes beginning from Ghatasthapana, the first
day of Dashain festival in earlier years. However, the scheme was
delayed this time following agitations by NT engineers.
The offer will be valid from
September 30 to October 7 and from
November 21 to November 30, NT said in a statement.
Likewise, the offer includes an additional 100 free calls for
PSTN/C-Phone customers at minimum monthly tariff of
Rs 200. NT has also
provided 10 percent discount in international calls.
Similarly, data charges have been lowered to
40 paisa/MB from existing
50 paisa. The NT has also decided to provide
3 GB data to ADSL
volume-based and WIMAX users whose subscribed data volume expires within
Dashain and Tihar festivals.
Unlimited ADSL and WIMAX subscribers will get their services auto renewed during festival seasons, according to NT.
For CDMA subscribers, NT will offer
10 to 20 percent bonus on recharge during this festive season.
