Job Summary:

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for testing applications and ensuring high quality control standards. He/She actively contributes to maintain a good team spirit and quality team work. He/She is responsible for delivering quality results on the projects, and in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Carry out feasibility studies: Listing out software features, Preparing flowcharts and process diagrams to plan work, Configuring the test environment, Attend knowledge sharing sessions on products, Share outcome and knowledge with team members and QA Manager
•    Creating Test cases: Proceed with applications for tests and make test cases and test scripts following test plan and test scenarios, Get approval from QA Manager
•    Assist immediate supervisor with various tasks and assignments
•    Test Cycle: Execute the prepared test cases and test scripts, Log issues to bug tracking system and verify fixes, Disseminate information on bugs in Development and Design team
•    Test reports: Generate test reports, Communicate the tests reports to QA Management
•    Research & Development: Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies; research on products and tools as assigned by QA Management; draft research report and present outcomes to QA Management
•    Actively contribute to develop and improve the corporate knowledge base (best practices, knowledge sharing across the whole organization)
•    Teamwork: proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members; demonstrate the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results; share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

Basic requirements:

•    Education: Bachelor in Computer Science (BE/B TECH, BCA or equivalent); Master degree in Computer Science is a big plus
•    Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
•    Demonstrated minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in software testing; 2 years desirable
•    Strong documentation skills: able to clearly report bugs and prepare test reports
•    Experience with at least one programming languages
•    Significant knowledge of software security and software performance
•    Understand the principles of the test methodologies and test environments
•    Experience with web application security testing
•    Able to take ownership towards the overall development of the organization.
•    Fluent in English
